Audrey Woodhams is a Dove Award nominated singer and songwriter. I always knew she would be. I can remember a time, over two decades ago now, hearing Audrey sing the national anthem at a Richmond Renegades hockey game. At the time, I did not understand the significance or honor in her performance. What I did understand is how angelic her voice sounded.
I do not attempt to avoid the cliche of deeming her voice angelic. I use the descriptor 'angelic' specifically to denote what her voice is used for. Audrey uses her musical talent to glorify her God. In any other musical genre, Audrey would have also succeeded. In an age where material wealth and fame are sought after, I am impressed that Audrey chose her heart and passion for God over the "things of the world." Though I do not personally care for contemporary Christian or worship music (I am a metal head), I can both appreciate and respect her artistic talent and integrity. Whether you are a fan of Jesus or not, there is no denying that Audrey's music is both positive and uplifting. Her latest release A Thousand Different Colors is now available. |
